Total Solids Measuring of Water Works Sludge
The Sludge from basins at surface water works is either pumped back to the raw water or sent to a waste water treatment plant. In other cases the sludge is dewatered at the water works. If the sludge is sent to a WWTP it is of great use to measure the total solids concentration in order to control the pumping and to calculate the mass flow if combined with a flow meter. Flow through suspended solids meter CTX 20/25 or in-line ITX-IL is used for this application.
